Lunch Time!

I have been trying to let Tootsie eat more "independantly" lately. Which is now including a spoon and the serving dish.

All I can say is, I am thankful we have some hungy dogs.
But it sure is a hoot watching her!

Grateful

Everyone keeps saying that we need to be mindful of our blessings this month, and that we really need to express them. I feel like I am usually a very grateful person every month. Life is too short not to be happy and grateful for what you do have, and not worrying about what you don't have.

"Grateful people are happier, less depressed, less stressed, and more satisfied with their lives and social relationships."

I was looking at my post and noticed it has been a few days. Well, after thinking about why I realized that I am now a full time mom, full time worker, student, spouse, cleaning lady, cook, maid, well....you get the idea. But, you know what? I wouldn't have it any other way. I have a very full plate and am making the most of my days and my life.

Since I have been at work/school my awesome friend Holly has been watching Constance. Looks like she is having a great time, doesn't it?
Ok, maybe not that picture, but you get the idea. She is outside doing adventures.
She is inside doing adventures! I can't thank you enough Holly, it is such a relief not to have her in daycare with 13 other snotty nosed kids!
My little girl loves the books. 9 out of 10 times I see her she has found one.
Other notes of interest. She is pointing, at everything. She laughs with her tongue out. Can say doggie and pants like one. Knows when dad pulls in the driveway and will head for the door. Still loves frozen chicken nuggets. Is running everywhere. Becoming more verbal. Is an absolute blessing to our home.
Finish on one last note. I passed my Phlebotomy test today and am now certified to draw blood. I started my job this week and love it! I think it is going to be a perfect fit until I am done with school!

Update Of Sorts

I have posted enough about Constance lately so here is a little update on ME (with pictures of her ;).

I am employed. That's right, I got a job! I start on Wednesday (the 11th). I can't tell you how excited, shocked, nervous, blessed, and just very fortunate to have been given this opportunity! I took this phlebotomy class just to give myself a little advantage over possibly some of the other students applying for the radiology program. Thinking maybe a little medical experience or certification would be better than none. Honestly, I had NO hopes of getting a job because of it.

Turns out the teacher works for LabCorp (where I will be working), he pulled me aside and asked me to apply. I did, not thinking I would hear from them until at least after I graduated from class. Well, they called me the next morning and had me interview the next day! After talking with the HR lady she said they haven't hired a student fresh out (or still in!) school in over 4 years!

After talking with some of the students at our last class a lot of them are having a really hard time finding a place to do their extern ship (40 hours). They said most places in the valley are overwhelmed with students right now and they just can't fit them in. How crazy is that? Not only do I have a job, but I will get PAID to do my extern ship!

I went and bought all my scrubs, talk about expensive, and am ready to jump in with both feet. Wish me luck on this new adventure!

I also am going to apply for the Radiology program next month through Weber State. Hopefully I will get in and can start that next fall. School has been actually really fun now that I am studying things that really get me going. I am totally LOVING my psychology class. Especially now I have a kid! It has really opened my mind to try some other parenting techniques I would otherwise not have thought of.

I think I have most of my Christmas shopping done for the babe. (I will give you a list so you don't buy the same things Mom ;) It has been really fun actually! I am getting super excited.

Toys for her 1st Christmas:
Musical Sit and Spin
Farm Animal Barn-that makes the noises
Books-tons of books
Vacuum-it is pretend but hopefully allows me to vacuum the house in peace
Sled-she can sit in it and I can strap her in
Blocks of Wood-she loves stacking so I am going to find some in the wood pile and paint them for her

Wait, I was going to make this a me post but guess I ruined that. Sorry.
Meanwhile, Jeremy has been working crazy long busy hours. He goes to work at 5:30 am and has been getting home around 8:00 pm 7 days a week. He is totally burnt out and ready for a break, but that isn't going to happen anytime soon :( I can't tell you all how hard concrete is, and how hard he works to provide for our family. I also can't tell him enough how much I appreciate it. I love you babe. I can't wait for the holidays.

Hogle Zoo

I have a little monkey. Ok, that is as far as I could get with that title and these 2 photo's. She kinda resembles one though.
I just happened to snap this picture right as she was falling off it. I know, horrible parent. She will stand on it like Evil Kanevil, which scares me to death, but maybe after a fall or two she will learn not to do it?
I had about a million and one things to do today, but the weather was just too nice. It was high 60's and a slight breeze, you couldn't ask for a better day in Utah especially in November! So we went to the Zoo!
This was at the baby elephant, Zuri, exhibit.
On the carousel.
We rode the praying mantis.

This cool monkey type creature that had cool fingers.
I liked these monkeys, I loved how their tails were wrapped around each other.
Stealing juicies from Henasee and Haylee.
Running around near the Rhino.

Penguins.
Anxious to get out and play.
They had 2 baby giraffes!
My good friend Holly and her girls that went with us.
On the tigers.
They had 3 baby tigers!!!

Pretty much how she strolled around the place.
She loved the discovery play park.
There were birds flying around, she really liked them.

On the train ride.

That was our adventure at Hogle Zoo!

Halloween

Well, I am such a wonderful mother I didn't take a single picture on Halloween!!! I know, totally not like me. I guess I just didn't think it was a big day because she had that horrible rash so I didn't dress her up. Nothing worse than having a miserable rash, then told to put on an itchy dress. I am mean, but not that mean. I am hoping someone from the Peterson family will upload their pics and I can steal one ;)

So, in light of not celebrating Halloween here are some other pictures you may (or may not) enjoy.

I bought her a snow suit. We are always outside and she loves being outside, so she may as well be warm while enjoying it. Hopefully she enjoys the suit a little more when she is actually outside in the snow, and not inside when it is 72 degrees.
She did get some loot from the holiday though. I didn't even have to take her trick-or-treating! My Mom hooked her up with the cool tattoos and a bag (previously shown) of goodies. The ladies at Chevron absolutely love her and all hooked her up with a bag of goodies, not to mention Grammie and Papa hooked her up with another bag of loot at dinner!

For some reason she loves the tin wrappers on the Reeses I will take the chocolate out for her and she just throws it down and grabs another one to eat...weird child.
Just some of the candy she scored.
Seeing if she can get it in her mouth before I come and take it away. Typical child.
Of course she loves the Tootsie rolls.
After eating candy it is time for dinner. I laugh at this picture because she always has her feet crossed like this. In the car, on the couch, in her chair, always! Oh, and don't mind the purple toe nails. I was going to paint them but it takes too long to dry, so I just paint them with Sharpies works great!
Finish it off with my happy, adorable, loving little girl! No more rash either!!! YAY!
My phlebotomy class is going much better than expected! I was at class on Saturday and the professor pulled me aside and asked me to apply for a job at LabCorp, they were looking for someone and he thought I would be perfect. Can I remind you all that I have only drawn blood 6 times! I go in today at 1:30 to meet with Rose then have an interview with the hiring manager. She said the job was in American Fork (like 10 min away!) from 2-9 pm. I am excited/nervous/anxious to see what the afternoon will bring. Wish me luck!
